Music Professional; I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts and my Master of Music (Music History and Literature) from University of Colorado at Boulder. During my graduate studies, I was awarded a teaching assistantship and completed my Masters thesis, The Repertory of a West Virginia Folksinger (My Grandmother): A Historical Analysis of Twenty-Five Popular and Traditional Ballads. I have served as Music Director at two college preparatory schools, and I was also an instructor at the National Guitar Workshop in the summers from 1997-2002, teaching the seminar "Rock and Roll Kids." In 2001, I published two textbooks, Keyboard Made Easy and Voice: A Curriculum Guide for Day Jams for Workshop Arts. I sing and play the guitar, flute, piano, mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar and the mountain dulcimer. I currently serve as a Faculty member at University of Phoenix's Online College of Humanities and Sciences. I am also a private music instructor at Rumsey Hall School and an adjunct music faculty member at The Gunnery in Washington, CT. I live with my husband and two daughters at our home in Northwestern Connecticut.
